FAQ ABOUT EVENTIQUES

As Wedding Planners, we know couples have a lot of “stuff” leftover from their weddings, often taking up valuable space in a spare room, or collecting dust in an attic. And so, Eventiques Wedding Flea Market was born! You will find carefully selected, used wedding and event décor, vintage goods, wedding gowns, unique rentals, and handmade pieces for your wedding or special celebration.

1. What is a V.I.P ticket?

A V.I.P. ticket gets you into the event first!! You will be able to get into the Wedding Flea Market two hours before the general public. You get first pick of items at the event, having the best selection! You will also receive a swag bag and, if you choose, you can come back on Sunday and get in for free! There are only 100 VIP tickets available, once they are sold out, general admission tickets are available.  

 

2. Can I purchase items before the event?

Unfortunately, no. To be fair to all of the attendees, we hold the inventory until the event opens. 

 

3. What prices can I expect?

Used wedding and event décor range in price from 50 cents up to $300+, depending on the quality, condition and original value. We price the new and gently used wedding décor fairly based on market value and condition of the item.

 

4. Can I return items I purchase at the Wedding Flea Market?

Items purchased from the Eventiques Wedding Flea Market are final sale. Please inspect the used wedding and event décor carefully prior to purchasing them. We try to ensure all items that go out on the shelves are in good condition but in some cases, items are either picked over or something may have been missed. If you purchased an item from one of our participating merchants, please ask them individually about their return policies.

 

5. What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash or charge. We have a minimum credit card purchase of $25. There is an ATM machine in the Eastworks building. Individual merchants may accept other forms of payment, so please check with them at the time of purchase.

 

6. Do I have to pay for parking?

Eastworks has free parking! However, we can not guarantee that any future Eventiques Wedding Flea Market events will have free parking based on the location.​

 

7. I have used wedding décor (or event décor) to sell! What do I do?

Great! Please click here (2016 forms coming soon) to download our event and wedding consignment form. It must be filled out and returned to us for approval prior to scheduling a drop off or pick up of the items. Please complete the form and email it to us, or snail mail it, and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Photos of the items you wish to sell are welcome. You will receive a % of the sales of your items, and you do not need to be present at the event itself, we sell your gently used wedding décor for you! All event and wedding consignment items must be approved by Eutopia Events and the Eventiques Wedding Flea Market Committee​ prior to sale at the market. 8. What types of items will you take for wedding consignment?

We will take a variety of gently used event and wedding décor that are in good, useable condition. Some examples include: candle holders, vases, signage, linens, ribbon, embellishments, veils, gloves, jewelry, shoes, DIY wedding or event décor, card boxes, burlap, leftover fabric, cake and candy stands, and so much more! Please note that candle holders must be cleaned up! An easy way to do this is to put votives or other holder into the freezer for 30+ minutes then the wax will pop right out. We have found that items that have not been cleaned out do not sell therefore you end up with them back in your possession or they go to the Goodwill.

 

9. Will there only be used wedding décor there?

No! While many of the items will be related to weddings, there will also be items suitable for events of all types: Birthday parties, bachelorette parties, baby or bridal showers, and other life celebrations. Guests from the last event even found items to use for their home!

 

10. I am not sure what I need, can I get help?

We would love to help you find event and wedding décor that would work perfectly for your needs. We will have a wedding design consultation station available for questions, inspiration, brainstorming, etc. VIP Ticket holders will be able to schedule a private consultation session with one of our event designers during the wedding flea market.

 

11. What can I expect to find?

Our inventory will always vary from one event to another. We've had used wedding décor ranging from rustic chic to modern elegance, we never know what we'll end up with in our inventory. If you are looking for something specific, you can always email us to ask if we have something available or you can watch our inventory list by visiting our "inventory" tab or our facebook page.

 

12. Will there be any wedding vendors there?

We have some talented wedding photographers, DJs, Lighting specialists, Florists and more who are sponsoring this year's event. We select only the best in the industry to be part of this event. They are experts in their field and are a great resource for questions and ideas! You can visit the Sponsor page to see who will be in attendance.

 

13. Is this event only for people getting married?

Absolutely not! The Wedding and Event Flea Market is great for anyone who might be planning any event. We get a variety of items in addition to wedding consignment and they could work perfectly for birthday parties, anniversary parties or even a dinner party at your home. We've had people from all over New England attend—wedding and event planners, photographers, designers, florists, shop owners—you never know what you might find!

 

14. I am interested in being a merchant, what do I do?

For this event, we are searching out merchants who handcraft their goods or where their products are locally sourced. We also take merchants who sell vintage goods. If you are interested in being a merchant, we are taking applications. Please visit the Merchant page for more information. 

 

15. When is the next event, I can't make it to this one!

We have not set our 2016 event. We are looking into other location options for future events. If you have a suggestion or would like to see Eventiques Flea Market come to your area, please email us to put in a request.
